A dedicated store officer who knows your format

A busy Saturday in the shopping centre. A supermarket just before closing. A fashion store with fitting rooms out of sight of the till. Retail is an open, dynamic environment: high visitor flows, valuable products, time pressure and constant customer contact. Shoplifting, aggression against staff, unauthorised access to stock rooms and internal shrinkage are part of the reality, and a single incident at the till affects the atmosphere on your entire shop floor.

Kilic Security is a Dutch security company based in Amsterdam and delivers retail security across the Netherlands: shops, department stores, supermarkets, fashion stores, jewellers and shopping centres. You get a dedicated crew with a team lead who knows your store: the layout of your shop floor, your till and fitting-room procedures, your house rules and your aggression protocol. Visible at the door, approachable on the floor, trained in de-escalation and used to working with store managers, till staff and your loss prevention team. For the concrete service mix (store surveillance, mystery guest, apprehensions), see our retail security service page.

The same store officer, week in week out

Rotating crews see less. We assign a small dedicated team to your store, so the same people come back. They know your collection, your staff and your regular customers, and spot deviant behaviour earlier than someone standing there for the first time. All our store officers are Dutch ND-certified with a valid BV-pas ID, and additionally trained in first aid, fire-response (BHV) and aggression handling.

Why retail needs specialist security

A shop is not an office with a reception desk. Your shop floor is publicly accessible, your products are within arm's reach, and your staff are in customer contact all day. Shoplifting, self-scan fraud, unauthorised access to stock rooms and offices, aggression around refusals or age checks, and internal shrinkage occur in almost every retail format. Risk peaks at predictable moments: late-night shopping, Saturdays, Sunday openings, public holidays and the hours around opening and closing.

That takes store officers who watch more than just the exit. They spot suspicious behaviour on the shop floor, support your staff during difficult customer conversations, keep an overview during peak hours and know how to handle an apprehension calmly, without other customers noticing. Kilic Security provides dedicated teams that do this work every day, from single-store operators to chains with dozens of locations across the Netherlands.

Visible at the entrance, alert on the shop floor

The entrance, the till and the fitting room are where tension builds first. Our store officers are visibly present at the entrance and exit, walk rounds along the shop floor and support your staff during refusals, returns and difficult conversations. When tension rises they seek the conversation first. An apprehension is a last step, not a first response. Outside opening hours we keep your store under watch via CCTV and mobile patrols, with 24/7 alarm response from our own control room.

By store format: which security fits

No two retail formats are the same. A supermarket has different peak hours and risks than a fashion store, a department store different procedures than a jeweller. We work for clients across virtually every retail sector in the Netherlands and adapt uniform, behaviour and approach to your format:

  • Supermarkets and fresh-food specialists: self-scan supervision, support during refusals and age checks, closing escort and aggression prevention at the tills
  • Fashion stores and department stores: overt and covert store surveillance, oversight around fitting rooms and stock, support during Saturday and late-night shopping peaks
  • Shopping centres and malls: fixed posts at main entrances, coordination between tenants and centre management, crowd control during events and Sunday openings
  • Large-format retailers and chains: multiple dedicated officers per store, integration with your loss prevention team and central reporting
  • Jewellers, electronics and luxury retail: high-risk surveillance, VIP host duties, discreet observation and strict access control to high-value zones
  • Drugstores, DIY, hardware and specialist stores: store surveillance on large floor plates, self-scan monitoring and outdoor stock oversight

Special investigator (BOA) duties, till audits and forensic financial analysis stay with your own loss prevention manager or accountant. Everything around them (visible store officers, plain-clothes surveillance, access control to stock and office areas, CCTV monitoring, closing rounds, alarm response and temporary deployment during year-end peaks, closing-down sales or refits) is on us.

A dedicated crew per store, also on peak days

One store or shopping centre in the Netherlands? We assign the same crew and team lead to your location. They know your collection, your staff, your regular customers and your house rules. During year-end peaks, sales or temporary expansion we scale up from the same team, not from a floating pool, so your customers and staff keep seeing the same faces.

Aligned with your chain and insurer

As head of loss prevention, retail security manager or business owner, you don't want to coordinate several vendors at once. With Kilic Security you get one point of contact from the intake onward: someone who walks the store with you, thinks along about entrance layout, CCTV coverage of shop floor and stock, alignment with your till and fitting-room procedures, and the protocol for apprehensions and aggression incidents. We deliver the security scope that fits your internal procedures, your house rules and the duty-of-care requirements your insurer sets.

Multiple stores under one brand? We keep one reporting line and one set of procedures across all your Dutch locations, with a team lead per store and one central point of contact above the operation. Reports (apprehensions, incidents, shrinkage signals) are suitable for your board, your insurer and, where needed, for police or local authorities.

One point of contact for all your Dutch stores

Running multiple stores or a national chain in the Netherlands? We keep the operation in one hand: one point of contact, one reporting line and one set of procedures that aligns with your internal loss prevention policy and your insurer's requirements. On-call service reachable 24/7.
