Security for schools and education in the Netherlands

Yes. All officers hold a valid Dutch security ID (BV pas) issued by Justis under the Wpbr, backed by a recent VOG (certificate of good conduct). Standard on top of that: VCA safety, in-house emergency response and first aid. For education we select people with experience with young people and a calm, approachable style. They seek dialogue first on tension and are trained in de-escalation, signalling and guiding incidents. Pedagogical care, student counselling and confidential support stay with your own team and youth care services: that is not something we provide.

Yes, CCTV in and around a school building is allowed, provided you demonstrate a legitimate interest, the setup is proportionate, you communicate clearly to students, parents and staff through signage and school guide, and you apply a retention period (typically up to 4 weeks, unless needed for incident handling). We help design the camera positioning and logging, but legal responsibility and informing the works council sit with your board. The DPIA and the processing register stay with your own data protection officer.

Yes. For mbo, ROC, universities of applied sciences and research universities with multiple buildings on one campus, or school boards with dependances, we deliver one set of procedures and one reporting line across all your sites, with a team lead per building and one central point of contact above the operation. Useful if you have sites in different cities or if part of the building is hired out for external activities.

Yes. For evening classes, open days, exams, graduation ceremonies and hall hire we scale from the same fixed team. Extra supervision on crowd flow around the entrance, calm supervision during exams and visible presence at evening and weekend events. Your students and staff see the same faces they already know.

Yes. In the evening, at weekends and during holidays we run closing rounds and mobile patrols around your site and handle alarms from our own control room. On an alert we send a patrol to site, inform your contact person and if needed the police. On incidents you receive a written report within 24 hours, suitable for your board and your insurer.

Yes. Agency staff you meet for the first time on the day is not how we work. Per school or campus we assign a fixed crew and team lead who know your building, your house rules and your student population. For open days, exams or temporary peaks we scale from the same network, not from a loose pool.

For a regular setup we plan in agreement, typically 2 to 4 weeks from intake to start on site: time for a walk through the building, a safety plan, alignment with caretaker and school leadership and instruction of the fixed crew. For urgent cases (incident, failure of a current provider, temporary expansion) we can often deliver a team within days through our network. On last minute requests you receive an availability check and an indicative quote within 24 hours.
